Mirna Falan

Mirna is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with over 12 years experience in the assessment and treatment of mental health disorders.

After obtaining her formal training in clinical psychology at Deakin University, Mirna has continued to undertake extensive clinical training and supervision in ISTDP, becoming recognised as an ISTDP therapist by The ISTDP Institute and by the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA) in 2016.

Mirna uses a client-centred approach to therapy, meaning that she aims to understand each person’s difficulties within the context of their unique life experiences, and tailors her treatment approach to best suit each client. By establishing a collaborative working relationship based on respect and empathy, Mirna provides a safe environment within which an open exploration of problems and difficulties is possible.

Through a combination of therapeutic technique and a deep understanding of each individual client, Mirna seeks to help each individual to achieve more than just symptom relief, but a meaningful and lasting positive change.

Sarah Rostron

Sarah creates a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their challenges and work toward meaningful change. With a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships, Sarah works with individuals of all ages, specialising in adolescents and adults at Quiet River Psychology.

As both a qualified Clinical Psychologist and a qualified Educational and Developmental Psychologist, Sarah brings a unique understanding of the developmental and learning needs of individuals across the lifespan, in addition to the clinical skills to diagnose and treat a variety of mental health concerns. She has a particular interest in supporting those who have experienced trauma, significant life transitions, or relationship difficulties. Sarah is also passionate about fostering neuroaffirming environments and is a committed ally to the LGBTIQA+ community.

With extensive training in evidence-based therapies, Sarah draws from a variety of approaches to meet each client’s unique needs, including:

  • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Additionally, Sarah is an APS board-approved Supervisor, offering guidance and mentorship to fellow practitioners.

Edy Xie

Edy is a skilled registered psychologist. Having grown up in Australia with an immigrant background, Edy has a deep understanding of the challenges involved in navigating mental health support and is committed to helping individuals from a variety of backgrounds find the right therapeutic approach tailored to their needs.

He works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and intellectual disabilities, offering a supportive and compassionate space to explore emotions, build resilience, and overcome personal barriers.

Edy’s therapeutic style is honest, direct, and empathetic, fostering a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and collaboration. He integrates a range of evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ensuring each session is personalised to the individual’s unique needs.

Ambreen Mirza

Ambreen is a registered psychologist with extensive experience working in Australia and overseas across a variety of clinical settings. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology from the prestigious Anna Freud Centre in the UK. Her international training has given her a deep understanding of developmental processes and unconscious dynamics in therapy, which she integrates into her clinical work.

Carol Gedid is a registered psychologist dedicated to providing compassionate and client-centered care. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, recognizing that true change occurs when individuals explore the underlying emotional and relational patterns that shape their experiences, rather than simply focusing on symptom reduction.

With a strong foundation in psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapies, Carol also integrates evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when beneficial to her clients. She has worked with individuals across the lifespan, providing both therapeutic support and psychological assessments, and has experience in diverse settings, including university clinics and hospitals.

Carol is known for her direct and honest therapeutic style, empowering clients to build self-trust and deeper self-awareness. She is committed to creating a safe and reflective space where clients feel truly heard and understood. Fluent in English, Arabic, and Assyrian, she brings a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and tailors her approach to each client's unique background and needs.

Carol holds a Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology) from Victoria University and has gained extensive experience through placements at RMIT Counselling and Psychological Services, the Royal Children's Hospital (CASEA Program), and Victoria University Psychology Clinic. Her work has included individual therapy, group facilitation, psychological assessments, and collaboration with other professionals to ensure holistic client care.

With a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development, Carol strives to support her clients in achieving meaningful and lasting change.

Ella Dickison

Dr. Ella Dickison is a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist from Aotearoa, New Zealand. She completed her formal clinical psychology training at the University of Otago, where she also completed her PhD in Psychology, specialising in personality disorders.

Ella has experience working with diverse communities, ensuring that her practice is inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive. She adopts a client-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach, fostering a safe, warm, and supportive therapeutic space. She is committed to providing culturally safe care, honouring the diverse backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences of her clients.

With a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, Ella tailors treatment plans to each client’s unique needs.
